Gross but strangely cute - Bulldog calf

It may just be archaeologists but this week I defrosted the one and only bulldog calf born in my herd some 15 years ago. Had it in the lab for a photo session, and sitting it on its tummy and angling it for different views, the consensus was that it would actually make quite a fun soft toy. Even the "strict vegetarian" student was strangely fascinated. Everyone now wants to see the skeleton. Since I've mislaid the bulldog skeleton I prepped before I moved house 19 years ago, I'm hoping that Murphy's Law will now turn that one up!

Those thoughts aren't restricted to archaeologists Louisa. We only had one bulldog and I was dreading ever finding one. But when I did, my very first thought was that it looked like Pinky & Perky. Not making it up, that is actually what I thought. Horrible but sort of comical at the same time! Not that there's anything actually funny about a bulldog calf.
