How the Dexter Herd Grows!!!

We have just picked up two very nice bulling heifers from Woodmagic and have now got eleven Dexters! ???

It is just over 2 years ago that after several years of dilly-dallying and ridiculously lengthy fussing about which ones to buy that I plumped for my first cow with calf at foot and an in calf heifer.

Yes I did realise the herd would grow........

I was given 4 dexters as a birthday present 4 years ago, last count this had risen to 49!! It was very nice to be told by our butcher who has regularly bought from us that as dexter breeders we should be very proud, kinda makes up for all the hassle and heartbreak along the way.
