I stopped to day to take some pics of a bunch of big charolais and fresian steers. They were very friendly and came straight to the gate that was tied, as you can see. To my delight one gave me a demonstration of why we need to tie the gate!!! He obviously found it easy and liked to show off.

I know Dexters are brighter so we have been warned.

There were about 2 dozen of them surging at the gate to see what I was up to, I think more string or a maybe a rope is in order myself!

P.S.Sorry the pics aren't Dexters!

Well you made me laugh!! Fancy catching that on camera, well done.

I used to have a great dane who spent his day happily trailing around after me, but he became very jealous if I went into a stable and left him outside. He would jump up the door and hang his head over, until he could stand no more, then he would drop down and with his paws put the kick bolt on!!! After many an unladylike climb over a stable door I learnt to take a broomstick or similar in with me, just to easily undo the kick bolts!

Jean in windy suffolk!
