We took a day off to visit the National Dairy Event today at Stoneleigh (Royal Show Ground)
This was a really good farming event with lots of useful ideas and displays, over 450 tradestands and some beautiful cattle. We only managed to get round a small portion of it but it really was a good day out. There was a real buzz in the atmosphere and it reminded me of the Royal Show of old.
It is on tomorrow as well (Thursday 17th September)
I did feel the gate fee of £18 per person was too steep, but had a great time and would definatly reccomend it and look forward to going next year.

Couldn't agree more - fantastic day and unfortunately Stoneleigh priced themselves out for next year. Had a really good look round at the breeds on display; but couldn't find the Dexters!!! Next year perhaps

Next year the Dairy Show will move to the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham Airport as Stoneleigh showground cannot provide facilities for it. Once again RASE appear to have priced themselves out of the market.
