We have had our vet out this morning to P.D the females for Melton Sale.
The following 3 females are all too early in pregnancy to sell with a warranty, therefore have been withdrawn from the show and sale.
The WITHDRAWN females are:-
Springfield Emma (Lot 78c)
Needles Hall Ecstacy (Lot 96)
Needles Hall Fern (Lot ?)

MANY APOLOGIES.

However, there will still be FIVE females forward all of which have been P.D by the vet and are sold warranted incalf to the 8,800gns Knightsway Paddy.
These five are the ONLY females available for sale incalf to Paddy, EXCLUSIVELY AT MELTON.
There will not be any more females available for sale incalf to Paddy (home market, or for export) until probably next Autumn.
The vet has P.D these five as follows:-

Needles Hall Radiant Ria (Lot 87)
approx 2 MONTHS INCALF

NEEDLES HALL TINKERBELL (Lot 99)
approx 4 MONTHS INCALF

Linford Poppy (Lot 83)
approx 3 MONTHS INCALF

Hillesden Della 3rd (Lot 90)
approx 4.5 MONTHS INCALF

Littlebones Kevita (Lot ?)
approx 4 MONTHS INCALF
***Please note that Kevitas steer has been weaned 3 weeks ago, and is therefore NOT at foot as in the catalogue***

In addition, we are hoping to bring 2 females for the "commercial" sale. These will be full pedigree, society registered, P.D incalf (not to Paddy) by the vet,
dehorned, and fully halter trained.

Any further queries please phone 01522 778634

On a similar theme, Galehill Butterpuff will not be at the show & sale, this is partly due to me I'm afraid. I entered her details online back in July/Aug but didn't ever complete them or print off the form or send any entry fees , basically forgot all about it after she had calved. Grassroots obviously sent the details onto Melton and hence my surprise that she was in the catalogue! Apologies to anyone who may have wanted to see her, I have advised Melton already. :(

Well its show day tomorrow at the sale, 12 noon, so if you are interested then get yourself along.
I get lots of calls asking where can i get a show heifer, well maybe this is the sale for you! Halter trained stock, short and non-short from all over the country. The added bonus of a proven show winner Needles Hall Radiant Ria, not often show cattle come up for auction, well apart from the Knightsway sale and we all know what happened there.
Sale starts on Saturday at 11.00am, should be a good day, see you there.
