As my New Year resolution, I am just preparing a Farm Environment Plan for Defra so I can claim a Higher level Stewardship grant next year (this replaces direct stock subsidies). All non UK residents can now switch off.
I note that Dexters are not listed as either a 'mainstream rare breed' or a 'breed at risk' for either of which I could claim additional 'points'. Angus, Highland. Devon, Galloway etc all listed. Anyone know the reasoning - more to the point does anyone have a hotline to Defra to complain bitterly.

It's not just the non-UK residents who are out of this loop. I don't think it applies to us poor down-trodden souls in Wales either unless I've missed this. On Christmas eve a great thick pile of cross-compliance papers arrived though, so I skipped Christmas celebrations to studiously read through all of that (I don't think).

My apologies I always thought Wales was an integral part of the UK - devolution in action again. After looking at the paperwork I would start now and you might just finish it by the Summer deadline.
