We went to Chepstow today - just to spectate as I had to rush home to turn hay!

Here are a small selection of entries we saw, there was a good turnout in the Dexter Section. The little horned heifer decided to demonstrate that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence whilst in the show ring and attempted to graze until her attentive owner stopped her.

Lovely photos, plus it looks like a lovely sunny day too. The group of three look nice, did they do well?

There were over 20 Dexters and I made that just under 50% of the total cattle forward which I think is great.

The weather was fanstastic - I made a vow in the
rain last year to do something to help this show
and I took my old bull over really just to make up
the numbers not knowing there would be so many
there and I also helped to organise a hunt scurry
race in the main ring which went well.

Champion was Charlmoor Sarah from the Parkes
family.

Nice to chat to Andrew Sheppy and to meet
Dan Ballard and his family.

Dexter numbers are up at most shows this year, the turnout has been great. I think other breeds look at us with disbeleif.
There are lots of new first time exhibitors too!

Helloagain

Yes Nat the 3 won. It was a good class actually with another 3 of good standard in it. I think they are the same 3 that won Monmouth last year.

I find Chepstow a very friendly little show.
