We've just received our copy of this new book and Dexter gets a huge uplift for it's quality beef, as does White Park. But Dexter is a realistic option and far more available. Some mainstream breeds get a poor write-up.
Angus, Hereford, watch out we're right behind you and creeping up very fast!

When I made enquiries here about that book I was told all about publishing contracts and 90 day options, and that it will probably be published here on Nov 1st or within that week, and will come out as a hardback for $45.
I would like to pop one in each of the kids 'Chrissie stockings', so I hope it does come out in time.

That's where I got it. According to the book Dexters are easy to spot as they are always black and sometimes have a white flash on their faces. Just in case you didn't already know this :D.

I'd rather be paying 12 pound (my computer hasn't got a pound sign on it).
Does your book have a hard cover, Clive?

Apparently John Torode's has just been on BBC Radio 4 with Clive Anderson, and he mentioned dexter beef and it's flavour.

Who said dexters didn't have a white star? This is a steer bought as a calf at foot in the late 1980's, pure dexter but not registered.
