There was 25 animals forward and most needed a lot of TLC several did not make their reserve prices and where not sold a auction, they may have been sold privatley that I don't know.

the top price went to a non short heifer in calf which had been shown and was well behaved on the halter she made 460gns

Top price for a cow and calf was 360gns with a well grown male calf it was probably a bargin but the calf was not reg and was still intact, so that probably didn't help.

average price for cows with calves at foot 250.00gns inc calf

average price for heifers 265gns

one bull forward 205gns

I just hope they all got good homes as a lot of them definetly had not seen much grub and despite some peoples selling policy that dexters can live on fresh air, I think if they had seen some of these animals they might have revised their selling policy.

I know quites a few had come of the moor and have probably been out all winter. The dexters that went through Selby market a couple of weeks ago had come of conservation grazing and I believe that if welfare had been there the owner would probably been have not been very popular as I believe they where in a very bad state.
