One of the objects of the Steering Committee, as mentioned in the minutes from the last Council's last meeting, is to establish or suggest to the members, a new constitution. We want to do this with your help and the help of external people and professionals with experience in other societies.

A new constitution is not a cure, but it can set parameters to work within to help avoid problems in the future such as defining maybe how people are elected and what information is required first etc (just one example).

What we would like to ask of you is ideas on a new constitution. This will be asked of all by post or meetings as well as online. For example, so far, there have been a few requests for a smaller council.

If you would like to have your say, then either type in your ideas below or send me an email and your idea will go into the melting pot. Please keep replies as bullet points if at all possible because lengthy replies are going to be difficult to manage. We can go into detail later.

Is there an online copy of the old constitution? Or can it be emailed?

We don't have the original file to email or put online. I'll consider other methods.

Before one can do anything about the old constitution - we have to be complying with it.
