ITV have delayed the start of this program from 3rd Sept for a couple of weeks I believe.
My wife Caroline with her absolutely stunning Dexter Beef & Mushroom Pie will be featured in the program on at least two evenings in October. I am waiting for precise dates and will publish full details when known. We have no idea how long she will be featured for or what clips they will show or whether they will show the herd and farm.
Here's a link to a little news page I've done....Britain's Best Dish

I'll have a go Ted.
Please remember Caroline could be on for 10 minutes and mention Dexter 10 times, or she could be on the 30 seconds and never mention the word Dexter. We're not in control and don't know what material they have used. We don't want people to be disappointed.
Also remember that even on the days that Caroline is not on, the chefs could still be discussing the recipes and ingredients being used, so a good clip for Dexter could come about without her even being in the shot.
At least one of the TV chefs is a Dexter Beef lover, so fingers crossed.

Just a reminder that the program start this evening in th UK on ITV1 at 5 p.m. We are told that Caroline is not featured until October but Dexter could be mentioned and there could still be a good clip at any time. We recording the whole series on DVD. It actually says ITV1 London in the schedules but we are getting it in the Midlands, don't know about other areas!

Geepers! I take my hat off to all competitors in this competition - the format is not a confidence boost is it?
I managed to record on to a video tape - can't do DVDs and will try to do all.
So glad I know at least one result before watching!
Certainly the chap with the Cornish ingredients managed to plug 'em very well!

Thanks Jo. I've ordered a new DVD recorder from Amazon and they've lost it but my brothers and sisters are all recording every program hopefully. Anyhow, Caroline hasn't been on yet and I haven't seen any clips where Dexter was mentioned yet either although I missed the first 10 minutes yesterday.
They did have a quick flash of one judge saying that the dish she lost out to was the best they had seen so far, so that's something.
The judges are very direct...Caroline's worried they're going to say "Nice beef, shame about the cooking", or worse still "Nice cooking, shame about the beef" . We're getting ready to emigrate.
