The Northern Group's Calf Show will be back at Rod & Mary Metcalfe's At Fenwick Hall, Near Doncaster on Suday June 3rd and all members and non members are welcome to come and enjoy the day. I think the calf show is for members only, but I'm sure you could join on the day. We have 3 classes for calves up to 6mths, over 6mths to 12mths and over 12mths to 18mths and one class for cows who have accompanied their calf.

We intend to start judging around 11am and follow with a social, so if you are free that day do come and join us. There will be tea and coffee, but you need to bring a packed lunch. The calf show will be under cover and so even if it rains we will stay dry.

All animals must be accompanied by their passports.

We had a lovely day yesterday at the calf show, Steve Darnbrook kindly came down from Scotland and judged for us. It would have been nice if a few more new faces had tried their hands at showing, however we had two new exhibitors and dexters in all the classes. Rod & Mary really pulled the stops out with the set up, and all the work they had done before we got there, and after the judging we went to look at his dexters who promptly walked of down the 25 acre field, so Rod got his trailer out and did trips down the field for the ones who couldn't face the walk.There had a good turn out of members, so all in all I think everyone found it a very enjoyable day.
