The commitee of the South East Group meets tonight to disscuss the future of the group. Members of the commitee have served for a number of years and feel that it is time someone else took their turn. The Chairman has in the last two newsletters spelt out a warning that the group will cease to exist unless at least three people are prepared to step forward and do their bit. Only one person has taken that step therfore the commitee can see no alternative but to disolve the group. The AGM is in April and is likely to be the last meeting which will be a sad day for Dexter cattle and their owners in the area. I could say a lot more on the subject but I think the above is enough for now.

Martin, how was the meeting? I truly hope the group carries on as it has so much to offer its members. If there are any other members reading this I would urge you to put yourself forward for a leading role, albeit for a shorter term or perhaps a shared role for less responsibility. Estelle

Martin,
I have just emailed Diana Lusty to ask about positions that need filling. Unfortunately I am in Edinburgh 6 months of the year, so I don't think I am going to be much use. I would like to write articles for the newsletter if that would help?

P.S. So glad Coopers is staying open!

Caroline,
Any articles at any time would be welcomed by me for inclusion in the South east group newsletter. Although we have had some brilliant contributions in the past, some of which are reproduced in the main Society bulletin, at other times I struggle and it seems to be the Lusty/Taylor times with precious little other contributions to publish. Yes please, put finger to keyboard anytime!
