I'm going to buy a freezer this morning to put a 30 month Dexter Bull in.
We have never sent a cow into be slaughtered before, any idea what cubic capacity freezer we should be aiming at ?

Our 500 litre freezer easily fits 180 kgs of Dexter into it, with room for a few roosters as well. :D

All freezers are always too small by a factor of 25%!

We have 3 freezers, each about 20 cubic feet. Two would do for my husband and I and I keep an extra one for any roasting chickens and lamb that doesn't sell right away. I bought one side of a half breed Dexter steer (I think Carol said it was 18 months old) and that hardly filled one half of one freezer. Didn't take long to eat it either!
