John C, I think you need 3 hectares for the scheme so it wouldn't be relevant to your 5 acres. Generally, though I wouldn't be too sure that being in no scheme allows you to do exactly as you please. I thought I read that cross compliance things had to be adhered to whether you get SAF or not.
Dai, I take your point but meetings were set up to help poor dim people like me to understand how to fill in these forms and I thought they said that only general, not specific, advice could be given. I'll have a look in Gwlad though. Thanks.
