You asked about the little red calf with black skin. I sold the calf and cow, and have been told by the new owner that the calf is now black.
I can't see Outlaw in her breeding.

I hate that term, gobsmacked, so I must think up another expression to describe the surprise I experienced at hearing the calf had gone black. Will wait and see what happens here, but so far these two black-skinned Robson calves, both from Outlaw cows, have not shown any sign of darkening, at 6 months of age. Thanks for the update Clive.

Sorry, Clive, not sure what you mean. If you mean how close is Outlaw, in the pedigree of our black-skinned calves, both their dams are Outlaw daughters, one black, one pale-skinned red.
