I have just become a member of the forum having only recently discovered it. We bought a Dexter cow and calf several months ago and I'm hoping someone can recommend a good book to help ensure we are doing it right!

We aren't total strangers to livestock having kept and bred sheep for a number of years, but this is our first venture into cattle. Our cow is (hopefully) in the very early stages of pregnancy and with winter coming up I particularly want to make sure we are getting her feed right.

Thanks

Recently bought a quite good book of Amazon. Its by an Australian author, and doesnt have anything specific to dexters, but is a fairly comprehensive guide

Personally, I like Pat Coleby's take on cattle and sheep. She's Aussie too. I do wonder if Canadians write much nonfiction. ???
