How are you getting on in other parts of the country regarding your preferred abbatoir/butcher planning to deal with over 30 month cattle when this becomes operative?
The news I have is that mine will not be applying because the paperwork/procedure is so b***** onerous that it isn't worth it.
If this is widespread it rather nips the revival of the British beef industry in the bud.

Hi, from what I can make out only a couple of the big abbatoirs seem to be going to the trouble of registering as correct me if I am wrong, but I believe over 30mths carcases have to be kept seperate until the results of the tests come back and how many of the small places are not able do that, mine certainly can't.
I'm counting my blessings that my butcher is continueing to kill cattle as I believe there are more expensise's coming on board for them, what with butchering fees and society fees, and the possiblity of us being charged for passports in the near future, one starts to wonder if its going to be viable for many people to keep dexters
Ann:(
