Steers required Scotland
Steers required Scotland
We had a pretty disastrous calving in 2013 and as a result have onlly one bullock coming forward for 2015 which leaves us a little short. We are just about to send our 2012 crop for slaughter and are in good shape for the following year with 5 bullocks on the ground at present.
Does anyone in Scotland have any steers or beef heifers they would like to sell store? Looking for 3 but can take more and can collect.
We are based in Wigtownshire so the closer the better but quite happy to travel as necessary
Cheers

thanks for your reply - at the moment more interested in the 2013 crop - how many do you have /ages/ short/non short/ horned/heifer or bullock?
I think I callled at Gigha once while on a diving holiday in Knoydart, what are your/ our options for getting them across to the mainland?
If you could PM me price expectation and when you would like to transfer along with a phone no I will be back in touch when I get back to the UK.
Cheers

I have 2 non Short steers this years calves. Available at weaning. Near Carlisle
Re: Steers required Scotland
Thanks Nigel - Carlisle is no problem for us - we are back and forward regularly. We are in good shape a.t.m for 2014 calves but could well be interested once they are weaned.nigel webster wrote:I have 2 non Short steers this years calves. Available at weaning. Near Carlisle
Are you routinely testing for BVD?

I have replied to all who have responded but have not had a single follow up response - will all who have previously responded please note that we remain interested in steers or beef hiefers particularly 2013 born animals and if you have replied previously without apparently getting any response please reactivate the conversation.
