on a happier note guys, we cut grass 22nd sept and managed a 3rd crop of 49 big bales and after a scary week with the weather, made 400 little hay bales as i said to my friend never made hay in thermals due to sunday being very blustery

We just made 10 acres of silage on 24 Sept, but making hay is an achievement.
Did 3 cuts on this field. 1st cut 47 bales, 2nd cut 47 bales, 3rd cut 46. It's a very reliable field .

Indeed, hay is an achievement, especially in the North West! We've had too many showery intervals to risk any more hay, but it's been a much better year for quality and quantity!
