I was wondering how do you get a young bull to stand there looking slightly sideways in a perfect pose, next to a guy looking far into the distance in his new green wellies :). Looks more like the bull has been stuffed to me.

We had a cow that we thought was in with a chance of the title, and we were going to contact Guinness', but we never got round to it and after she only produced one calf we culled her. Her calf was tiny though, but grew to the size of a 'normal' short leg. Here he is a few days after birth;

hi, my names ryan and i am the owner of archie-the worlds shortest bull recognised by guinness worls records.Archie is 29 months old and measured 30 inches from hoof to withers on the 22nd november 2011. he is not stuffed and was photographed beside and ordinary man of average height. Archie is patron of Henny Penny libraries in India, which helps children in the slums, because od archies new record guinness donated enough money to open another library in the slums. this was all done for charity, and we have recieved no financial gain from this. Archie is registered with the uk dexter society, his mother died when he was three days old and was reared exactly the same way as the rest of my cattle-grass and silage in winter, he simply did not grow, which has savesd his life as he was destined for beef.hopefully this clears things up. ryan

Hello Ryan

I think Archie is rather cute and its nice to get the gen on him, the boys forget that the world drops in on this site. good luck with the fund raising, it would be very interesting to have him tested to see if he is non short as I have one very similar and I'm going to get him tested as he is from 2 non short parents.

:) :)

hi ann, archie is out of a non-short bull and a wee short cow. we are not going to use him on any cows as we are afraid that his calves might be bulldog-because hes so small. also i want nonshorts for the beef market.ryan
