Congratulations.

I once had the wonderful surprise of a new calf on New Years day, I knew the cow was in calf but had not worked out the date. I went out in the afternoon to throw some hay at the cattle and what a wonderful surprise to see a calf up and running around in the pen, a wonderful beginning to the year.

The same cow calved on 2nd January another year.

We had two calves on New Years day, the first about midday and the second 4pm and since another two.

We had a couple as well either side of midnight, both to an Angus bull this time. My wife went off to a New Years meal out with friends and left me to it :(
