I wrote an article recently and sent it in to Land and Business. The magazine of The Country Land Owners Association, it popped through the letter box this morning with my article in it. I am quite peased with it and intrigued that they have re named me!!! ??? I appear to be Stephanie Duffryn - Duffryn is the name of my farm and the herd prefix! Ah well you can't win them all but they have printed it. :D

I should have explained - the article was to try to say what makes Dexters different from other breeds, what the uses are, what makes them such an attractive breed etc. I hope I did them justice.

To my surprise and delight I am getting a response to my Dexter article - Cows with attitude - in the June issue of The CLA Magazine - Land and Business. We have just returned having spent the day at a wedding to find messages on the answer machine from people who would like to come and see our Dexters. I hadn't expected that but had Beryl had told me articles were good publicity for the breed. I included info on how to contact the society and of course about this site and hoped to gain some interest. :D

Well done Stephanie, good articles in magazines and journals which have a different readership from the usual Dexterophiles are always good, and not always easy to get published. Since we only own one hectare we haven't signed up to the CLA, always look on that as being caseous lymphadenitis!

Ergh, yuk, Duncan!
Stephanie, Graham always calls you Stephanie Duffryn when I show him any photos. He knows I'll take the bait.

Hi Saffy, I too fall well below the threshold land ownership for CLA membership. Is there any way that non-members can get to see the article?
