new to showing

being rather new to dexters we will be showing for the first time next sunday the 10th, any advice greatly recieved, really looking forward to it , but hopefully it will all go ok ! and good practice for the royal norfolk ! :)

enjoy it. Is it the South Suffolk Show? There should be one or two along to advise. Don't forget some straw & feed. If your cattle are out for the first time it is worth getting there as early as possible so they get used to the sight and sounds of the show.

thank you ted, yes it is the south suffolk and it will be first time for our 3 heifers and my daughter and myself , we are looking forward to it , been doing lots of washing and walking

We have just come back from Leics County show this weekend. Turnout of 28 dexters whereas last year there were 14, so thats double the number.Lets hope the trend continues with the rest of the shows as the year goes on.
Dexters won Dairy supreme champion, only because there were no Holsteins and no jerseys forward, its been many a year since there were none of them!
Still it will look good in the press.
