I have a TB test scheduled for the end of November. and a standstill order would be enforced from about 6th December if the test is not completed. As I normally house my cattle between Christmas and new year, January would be a lot more convenient for me and the cattle. Does anyone know if the SVS is aproachable enough to enable me to put back the test for a couple of months without being put on a standstill?
I put ours back Martin on the one occasion. The vet said they just had a deadline to work to but he had arranged it earlier, so putting it back still met the deadline.
We are put on standstill if we miss the deadline, which we did on one occasion because our vet was too busy to get it done in time. I don't know if it is different in 4 year testing areas.
I tried to put it back but we were going to be frozen - the date is the date unfortunately / apparently - at it our fault if the vet cannot test at the right time too!
The letter we receive always states that it is up to us to arrange the test before the time is up therefore, you can have the test earlier to fit around your movements etc but not afterwards - it would involve a standstill I think
We are on a 4 yearly test so a few months here or there is OK
Best wishes

I was able to bring my test forward by 3 months by talking to local SVS office but don't know if you can delay your date. It was no problem at all. I'm on 12 month interval. I suspect delaying is likely to be a problem.
