Brexit...what next?
Just an idle thought and would be interested in peoples opinions. But now the 31st has past and we are sailing into unknown waters. How do you think Brexit is going to effect small scale producers/farmers. Do you think land will become more expensive? More interest in locally produced food? As an as...

Pasture for Life
Hello...Has anyone come across or had any dealings with Pasture for life? Below was taken from their Facebook page. Recommended today to have a look... The 'Pasture for Life' certification mark is the UK's only accreditation for 100% grass-fed meat and dairy produce. It is operated by the Pasture-Fe...

on a different note...
As the new pedigrees are now coming through A4 size I have treated myself to a new (but not so nice) folder. I have here in front of me
an empty red A5 DCS pedigree certificate folder. If anyone can make use of it please let me know and I will happily send it on to them.
regards
Debra

Re: Payment for transfer of ownership
I agree with your comments Duncan, but I am wondering what will be achieved if the new purchaser has no desire to join the society? Not sure where the society stands if they try to make contact with the purchaser... GDPR etc. Is the transfer fee the same for non member or member...ie £11.00 per heif...

Re: Payment for transfer of ownership
Hi Jac, apparently not now. I have spoken to the society secretary and if I understand correctly, it is now up to the seller to arrange the transfer and pay the fee (even birth notified at a cost of £4.00) All this information was in a letter sent out at the end of last year (which did not arrive in...

Payment for transfer of ownership
Hello, I have just been advised by the that from the beginning of this year we have to pay for transfer of ownership. This changed has passed us by and now we are feeling a little foolish but then we should keep on top of the paperwork! Trying to now catch up on long overdue reading, could anyone te...

Re: older bull
When I spoke with Telford they said at the time that they were still doing collection from Ashby but I think since that conversation they have now closed up completely. Telford was just too far (approx 3 hours driving each way)

older bull
Any recommendations for an abattoir in the Leicestershire area where we can take our older bull? He was working quite successfully last year but is 13 this year he is starting to look and act a little elderly ...think its time for him to go. We used to go to a place called Pickstocks but can't seem ...

I would endorse all that was said above. We used Ian's services today and he could not be faulted. Bringing our new bull from Bucks he arrived to the minute that he said he would arrive. Most impressed
