We spent all day the day before cleaning and clipping them, ready for the sale and they looked lovely. I had high hopes for good prices but was sadly disappointed, if the Dexter bre...

Short and non short Dexter Heifers for sale
Hi everyone, we have a selection of short and non short black Dexter heifers for sale. All have been regularly wormed, and are quiet. We are a BVD accredited herd. Will need to be pre-movement tested before that go. If anyone's interested let me know. We are in the South West, cheddar.
Thanks

Re: What pour on wormer???
Hi As we live on the Somerset levels we routinely worm ours, they get done when they come in for the winter and then once they are turned out every 8 or 9 weeks. We did use closamectin injection but due to the difficulty in getting the injection out of the gun as the stuff has to be warmed as its li...

Re: TB Disaster

Re: Sale of Pedigree Dexter Cattle
Hi all
Great to hear some good news with regards to prices. I hate to say it but sale prices in the southwest at auctions are rarely like sales in other parts of country, maybe one day. Fingers crossed.
Well done to those who sold at carlisle sounds like you did well

Re: Sale of Pedigree Dexter Cattle
Hi
Went to sell and was dissapointed at the prices, alot went for less than meat value. The sale definately didnt do the Dexter breed any favours which was a great shame, alot people i talked to, agreed.
