I really wish someone would order me to stay at home and spend more time with my cows. Instead I am spending twice as long doing half as much which does not even begin to cover the costs of the practice. I hope you are all treating your vets sympathetically.

Very good little bit. I am sure they could have filled the whole programme with Rosewood! Just watched it tonight.

I must set it up to record, too much chance of missing it if I don't record.

Re: Life and Times of Dexters signed by author
Hello all especially to Mark Shimwell. The second auction of the book raised a further £50, and the total raised is £2000, though the exact amount transferred to ADCI may differ a little as there will be some bank charges involved. Many thanks to all those who contributed.

Hello Ted Neal, Mark Bowles and Mark Shimwell - the show is not over till the fat lady sings! I have been holding the page open pending this auction ending today, just in from a long day started at 6.30am and now after 10.30pm, only just getting the chance to read all messages properly. Polly does a...

Re: Life and Times of Dexters signed by author
I set up a justgiving page last Friday evening following suggestion from Di Smith, originally targeted £1000 but we are on way to £2000 now. At the end of the appeal I will send the money to DCAI, the Aussie equivalent of DCS, who will have hands on knowledge of needs etc. It can go for damage from ...

Re: Seeking Woodmagic samples/results
If we go back 10 generations there are 1024 potential ancestors contributing. Of course with a small population the odds are that any one animal will pop up more than once so may contribute more than others. Some computer programmes for pedigree recording will work out such things for us, and I susp...

Re: Seeking Woodmagic samples/results
Louisa the dictionary describes "pervasive" as especially of an unwelcome influence or physical effect) spreading widely throughout an area or a group of people. I hope you did not mean to suggest that Woodmagic lines were in themselves undesirable. I can of course understand that anyone m...

Re: Dexter Statistics.
The accounts are downloadable from the DCS website. This post is a disgraceful misrepresentation of the real situation. The true figures also need to be read in the knowledge of how they are compiled and exceptional events such as the legal fees incurred because of the actions of a very small number...

Re: Dexter Statistics.
Selective quotes from a set of accounts is totally meaningless. DCS finances are without a shadow of doubt in an improving situation after a period of maladministration. That time is over.. lets get on with the future. Anyone who was seriously in doubt should have either attended the AGM and heard t...

Lots of Dexter folk world wide use this board and quote conversations on it from years back. Is it a costly t...
