Bull wanted to hire

We are looking to hire a bull for a couple of months to service 4 cows and 2 heifers. Our ideal would be red, non-short, polled in reasonable travelling distance of Shropshire - but beggars can't be choosers :)

cost of winter housing

We have been offered winter housing by a local lady who has buildings but no livestock apart from a couple of horses (should we feel the need for it this winter). It is a 3 sided barn - open on the smaller side - plenty big enough, but not huge, with concrete floor and concrete hard standing of a si...

TB testing

We had a letter from DEFRA advising the date parameters for our first TB test - the letter was a little confusing to be honest - but I made the appointments with my vet practice. I have now heard from the vet practice that they have cancelled our appointments as they have been advised that DEFRA are...

older cows

Hi wondered if anyone could help me - a 8 or 9 year old cow who has had calves in the past, but not for 3 or 4 years, what would be the chance of her getting in calf again? Many thanks.
