thanks for the replies.I have now got the steer booked in to Ensors in Gloucester. Its a bit of a way to travel but at least we can legally sell his meat and we are taking his younger brother too. :)However if meat is supposed to be traceable now where does that leave the original abbatoir i tried ...

I have an over thirty month steer that needs to go in the freezer.Because of his age the local abbatoir cannot do the job for me and the nearest over thirty month abbatoir cannot kill for home use as they cannot track individual animals through their system.Therefore home slaughter is my only a...
