This is a question for those of you who show your cows regularly. If a cow has a small extra teat at the rear of the udder, set well above the other teats, is this penalised in the show ring? I would estimate this to be less than 1 cm long. If the cow is otherwise conformant with the breed standard...

I did a drive by this morning and there were at
least 2 Dexters on their ground and quite a number
of sheep. Couldn't see any pigs.

I don't know to be honest - I don't know them but they went to see some cows at Broadstone near Trellech where my bull Brambledel Prince of Thorns was on loan so I was hoping to see him on TV but they didn't show any of that. I might go and have a look on the weekend and see if can see any. I have ...

The presenter of My Dream Farm is Monty Don who also presents Gardening World on the BBC. He really should know better. The people last week live about 2 miles from me and I know that the show went to look at some local Dexters so I am not quite sure why they filmed a herd in Buckinghamshire some 1...

My cattle are kept at a farm owned by a friend. They have been housed since 13th December - earlier than last year due to the wet conditions. Since 17th December we have had regular problems with the water in the buildings freezing, necessitating setting up a hose from the house. The water is pumpe...

There were over 20 Dexters and I made that just under 50% of the total cattle forward which I think is great. The weather was fanstastic - I made a vow in the rain last year to do something to help this show and I took my old bull over really just to make up the numbers not knowing there would be s...

It looks to me as though there are 8 including 1
bull. The catalogue is quite difficult to read on screen
but prints off quite well.

Yes I have downloaded the catalogue. Many of the Dexters for sale are listed in the Cattle for Sale section of this board. Some photos would be good. There is also a Society approved sale at Sedgemoor the same day - they are both roughly the same distance for me. Cirencester is also a Sheep, Pig, P...

I was there yesterday and I would say well worth a visit. The Dexter lines looked excellent and Lisa Bell paraded a cow and calf in the opening ceremony, which was marred by heavy showers. Mark I did see you but you were talking at the time but would have liked to have had a chat. I wish I could be...

Me too for at least 10 years and we were bi-annual before that. Plus I moved house last year so had two tests in 1 year.

Yes it's http://www.salisburyauctioncentre.co.uk/

I have just phoned them and they advise the catologue
is available on the site.

For some reason my work computer won't give me
access to it.
