read the letter three times and although its not too upsetting I do feel its a little misguided. Whats wrong with a niche market? I think most dexter beef producers would be only too happy with that tag. The author seems to think that competition is about volume, in this case its not its about qual...

I cant think of any publication that I would read or expect to read fully cover to cover. The important thing is that the bulletin should be able to appeal to the widest spectrum of readers and if that means articles about Garden centres etc then why not. I have gleaned a huge amount of useful tips...

What could secure the future for owners and the breed would be a co-operative that could develop the market for beef and provide a set up with an abbatoir/butcher so that everyone in the scheme would know the standard cost and return.
