My last 2 cows went to a new home yesterday so I can no longer call myself a Dexter breeder (although I still have 4 steers for beef) so I think this is as good a time as any to bow out. Dexter owners are incredibly lucky to have this site and on it the services of Duncan, the vet. Also to have Pen...

Well, this is someone else who will not be continuing my DCS subscriptions. But it has little to do with society fees. I had an older cow put down in the week (damaged hip and no future for her) and my last 2 went clear on their tb test and are heading for a new home in the near future. I have 4 st...

It is a misconception that it was a 'high risk' investment. It was a savings account authorised in the UK just like all the others available and considered (until a couple of months ago) to be the safest way of saving. They were at the top of British Best Buy savings charts. There was no element of...

What an oasis of calm this site is (and I bet a few months ago you would never have expected that to have been said ever again). It has been my misfortune to join other sites recently where there are so many fraught people trying to hang on to there sanity while their life savings are returned to t...

Does anyone want a short black cow and a non-short black heifer. They are not registered. My original plan was to keep 3 breeding Dexters but I am going to have to have the older female put down which just leaves me with 2. The older cow was very nervous when she came to us but has calmed down now....

Good Luck with your request. I always ask for bones back for the dogs when I send a Dexter to the abbatoir and only once have they boxed them up for me. Much more usual is an offer to get some when we turn up for the meat and ask if they are included. The source of these certainly would not be from...
